It stands on its own

It blocks, not just notices
Grammarly, QuillBot and Wordtune are stopped for the assessment and every attempt is logged — then allowed back for the individual students who need them.
Nothing writes for the student
There is no assistant offering to improve a paragraph. The only model in the product reads handwritten equations, and it is the only one there will be without telling you.

Work is stored here. The access-arrangement settings are written against what the Australian assessment authorities actually permit, not adapted from somewhere else.

One setting per assessment. Rewriting tools are stopped and every attempt is logged, and the editor brings its own spelling help so nothing is lost. Speech-to-text, word prediction and a scribe are granted to named students.

The research trail, kept beside the essay.
Students plan, take notes and build their Harvard reference list in the journal. When something is pasted in it becomes an entry waiting for its source, so a student who did the work has somewhere to show it.
“Check against my work” shows them which entries actually made it into the essay.
Group work
A shared document that still says who did what.
Several students write in one document at once and each keeps their own record — typed and pasted per member, the time each spent, and when they joined or left. Each hands in their own.

Questions schools ask
We already have an integrity tool. Why this?
Most of them read the finished document and give you a number. This records how the document was written and shows you the working, and it is not an add-on to a subscription you have to hold first.
Does it work with our LMS?
AssessLockr opens over LTI 1.3, the standard your LMS almost certainly speaks. It is running in Schoolbox today — tell us yours and we will confirm it before you commit to anything.
Can students hand in without leaving it?
They do in Schoolbox today — the final lands in the right assessment by itself, and the student submits once, in one place. Most other platforms have an API that would allow the same thing, but each one is a connection we build, so tell us which you use and we will say what it takes. Until it exists, students export a PDF or a Word file and hand that in exactly as they do now.
Does it tell me a student used AI?
It shows you what happened — what was typed, pasted and reworded, and when. The judgement stays with the teacher.
Can students with access arrangements still use their tools?
Yes. Writing assistants can be blocked for a class and allowed back for individual students.
Where is student work stored?
In Australia. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI.
What do students need to install?
Nothing. It runs in the browser, including on iPads.
